Students from our lab presented at the U.S. & Australia Summer Internship Report Meeting!

As part of its international exchange initiatives, Kitasato University School of Veterinary Medicine sends fifth-year students to two universities in the USA (University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine & Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine) and to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Wildlife Hospital in Australia during the summer vacation (see the Faculty website on international exchanges).

This year, from our Toxicology Lab, Misaki Fukumatsu went to Purdue University, Yuka Nakamura went to Australia, and Lecturer Takeda accompanied the students as a supervisor to University of Tennessee.

Today, October 28th, was the report meeting for these international internships.

Ms. Fukumatsu, wearing her matching Purdue hoodie, reported on her clinical training at Purdue University.

Ms. Nakamura presented on her wildlife medical training in Australia and also provided useful information as part of an orientation for fourth-year students who are interested in next year's program.

At the University of Tennessee presentation, the supervising faculty member, who was in charge of cooking, received a three-star chef rating!

These summer internships are very popular among the students, and many attended the report meeting to listen!

You can view the summer internship reports and presentation slides on the faculty website. Enjoy the excellent work done by our students!
