Towada City in Aomori is famous for its cherry blossom-lined government district, which is even listed among Japan’s Top 100 Roads. But did you know? The Kitasato University Towada Campus also has some beautiful sakura trees of its own!

This year, early April was full of rainy days, but we got lucky with clear skies just as the blossoms hit full bloom (props to the sixth-year students for perfectly timing the hanami lunch).

And this year’s hanami lunch? Sushi, of course! 🍣🌸
