Misaki Fukamatsu Wins the Student Poster Presentation Award at JSOT2025!

At the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology (JSOT 2025), held in Naha, Okinawa from July 2–4, 2025,
our 6th-year veterinary student Misaki Fukamatsu received the Student Poster Presentation Award! 🎉
Award-Winning Presentation
“Exploring Rodenticidal Effect and Toxicity Mechanisms of Dcha-20, a Novel Vitamin D Receptor Agonist with a Lithocholic Acid Backbone”
This research focuses on:
Dcha-20, a novel compound with a lithocholic acid backbone,
Its activity as a vitamin D receptor (VDR) agonist, and
Investigating its rodenticidal potential and underlying toxicity mechanisms.
The study employs a multi-faceted approach, including:
Molecular docking-based target prediction, and
Toxicity evaluation using animal models,
aiming to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly rodenticides.
Comment from Misaki Fukamatsu
“I’m truly honored to receive this award!
I deeply appreciate all the valuable feedback and discussions from professors and attendees who visited my poster.”
This recognition highlights both the novelty of the research theme—combining rodent control and molecular mechanism studies—and Misaki’s excellent presentation skills.
We are proud of Misaki’s achievement and look forward to her continued success.
Congratulations once again!
