Visit from Our 2024 Graduate, Ms. Jiayan Sun
Today, Ms. Jiayan Sun, a graduate from the class of 2024, stopped by our laboratory.
She is currently in her second year working as a specialist in industry, and during her recent trip to Aomori, she kindly took the time to visit us. We truly appreciate her taking the time out of her busy schedule to come by—it always means a lot to see our alumni again.
Progressing Well in Her Professional Career
Ms. Sun is now engaged in specialized work in industry, steadily building her professional career.
It was great to see that she continues to apply the knowledge and critical thinking skills she developed during her time in the lab, and that she is making solid contributions in her current role.

Her Research as a Student
During her undergraduate studies, she worked on the toxicological evaluation of benzyl 2-naphthyl ether (BNE), a thermal sensitizer derived from printing ink detected in wastewater from paper recycling processes.
Her research was highly regarded, and she received an award at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology.
