Conference2024.09.13

Three students from our lab presented at the 167th Japanese Veterinary Medical Association Academic Meeting!

From September 10th (Tuesday) to 13th (Friday), 2024, three students from our lab presented orally at the 167th Japanese Veterinary Medical Association Academic Meeting held at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.

A unique feature of this veterinary conference is the division into various specialized sections according to the diverse fields encompassed by veterinary science (such as Anatomy, Public Health, Internal Medicine, etc.).

Naturally, our lab is part of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Section, but given the breadth of our research, we also present in the Wildlife Science and Biochemistry Physiology Sections.

This time, our presentations in the Pharmacology and Toxicology and Wildlife Science Sections included:

Pharmacology and Toxicology Section:

  • "Development of a Binding-Proteomics Evaluation System Using AlphaFold2’s Complete Structural Proteome" by Teppei Hayama
  • "Evaluating the Testicular Toxicity of Mice from Mixed Exposure to Nine Types of Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs) at Everyday Intake Levels" by Wakana Yoshimura

Wildlife Science Section:

  • "Predicting the Dynamics of Anticoagulant Rodenticides in Wildlife Using Partial Differential Equation Modeling" by Misaki Fukumatsu

We are thrilled to announce that we won excellent presentation awards!

It seems like they also managed to experience some of Obihiro's must-do activities.
