Dr. Takeda and students presented their research at the 51st Japanese Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting held from July 3rd to 5th in Hakata!

This toxicology conference, as the name suggests, is a mainstay for our lab, but it's also unique in that about 70% of the participants are from private industries like pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and cosmetics companies.

The venue was the familiar Marine Messe Fukuoka.

Representing our lab, sixth-year undergraduate Sun gave the final rehearsal in front of pharmaceutical researchers who were faculty friends, even before other posters were set up.

Lecturer Takeda served as a young planners' committee member for the first time at the conference and was also an organizing committee member and speaker at the inaugural Digital Toxicology Conference satellite event (so busy he only managed to snap photos on the first morning and this one).

And Sun won the Student Poster Award!
